Fairy Floss Snack Stand
Cotton Candy and Boba Tea stand inspired by fairies, rug, and sand art.
My goal was to shrink guests down to the size of a garden fairy, and what else should they enjoy in this space besides themed cotton candy, aka fairy floss, and delicious boba tea drinks. I was heavily inspired by the watercolor illustrations of the Disney fairies books that came out in the 2000s, textured rug art that almost looked like maps, and sand mandalas. All of this, I wanted to express with a soft and pastel color palette.
This project was made for my Visualizing Themed Environments class at UCF for my Themed Experience M.S. This class was taught by Alex Wright. The purpose of this project is quoted from the Syllabus.
“Virtual Themed Environment: Create a collection of images representing and expressing a themed experience. The environment must be a plausible and “workable” space that takes human scale and guest interaction into account. Students will be responsible for creating multiple still images showing interior and exterior views of a space that clearly communicate the proposed theme and the experience to be offered there. Modeling and/or representational artistic skill will be viewed as secondary to the composition and planning of the environment and consideration of the user/guest experience..”
